Mono Monday: Connections

If I could work out how to make the right *connections* with this Meccano I could make something great!
This is my Dad's 1930s Meccano. I recently acquired it when we cleared out my Mum's loft in preparation for her move.
As a child I always wanted a Meccano set but I was never given one as my Dad had all this Meccano. The problem was he would never let me play with it! I did have a Bayko Building Set though which I loved. I've also recently reacquired this. So now I have all these toys to play with in my retirement - if I ever get round to it.
