Revelation

Tonight Martine and I went out with our friends Adriaan and Wilma. We had a great dinner and afterwards we went to see the Gasterra Flames (the local basketball team). Sadly, the Flames lost but that didn't stop us from having a good time!

Some fellow blippers asked some questions regarding two of my recent blips, Red Hot iPhone and The Ghost of Christmas Past. A couple of colleagues were convinced I did some heavy Photoshopping to get these results. In fact, little processing was done: just some sharpening and cropping. Todays blip shows another Harrods Bear (the 2003 version) and the attributes I used to create the blips.

The red glowing stick is a toy Star Wars light saber. It was included with the Happy Meals that Nienke and Inge had November last year. The Red Hot iPhone blip was created in semi-dark using a 5 second exposure time. During these 5 seconds, I twisted the light saber behind the iPhone. That's all!

The yellow rod has a cord and a small light attached to it. Nienke and Inge both have one of these. They are used on November 11 for the Saint Martin's Day festivities. In the Ghost of Christmas Past blip, Martine twirled it around over the bear's head during the 8 second exposure. That produced the halo. The transparancy effect was achieved by simply removing the bear from the scene after about 5 seconds into the exposure. That's all there is to it...

Enjoy what's left of the weekend!
