Carpe diem

It was our first official day back on campus today. While many lament the end of summer, I always love the start of the school year. It's a fresh start for everyone. Dead Poets Society has always been a favorite movie of mine. Particularly poignant is Robin Williams' opening speech to the boys. "Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary." I get the chills every time and it serves as a reminder of the impact we have the opportunity to makes in our students' lives.
