A bargain

We picked these bookends up at an estate sale on Sunday morning. A woman whose husband died two years ago no longer wants to live in this rural area, wants to move back to New Jersey where her family lives. She hired an auction company to come in and price all the items in her house and barn, then had a three day sale. Everything that was left by Sunday was sold at half price. I felt sad for her, but apparently living here alone was vastly different than living here with her husband.

Today started off chilly and warmed up quite nicely. We did a few errands this afternoon, including buying yet another tree - a weeping bald cypress. I think I will try taking a picture of it tomorrow.
