Cactus Belltower

A morning dove rests on this Belltower made from the skeletons of Saguaro Cactus. This simple Belltower adorns a small chapel at the DeGrazia Gallery of the Sun in Tucson, Arizona.

Design and construction of the Chapel was by Ted DeGrazia, now deceased. You probably all have seen his paintings of the Native Indian Children. Google DeGrazia to see examples of his work. See Gift Shop/Original/Oils, Watercolors, etc for examples of his work.

"The son of Italian immigrants, Ettore DeGrazia was born June 14, 1909, in the Morenci mining camp of Territorial Arizona. His early childhood experiences in the ethnically diverse community evolved into a lifelong appreciation of native cultures in the Sonoran Desert and a passion to create art depicting their lives and lore."

This is not a commercial plug...It is my desire to share with you Art that is thrilling to me.

It was an Arty day for us. We also visited an exhibition of Ansel Adams photographs at the Tucson Museum of Art. He used the full spectrum of grayscale in his prints.
