Vashti

This morning I had the privilege of shooting some pictures of the musician Vashti Bunyan for an upcoming magazine feature on her new record.

Vashti released her debut album "Just another diamond day" in 1970. At the time it didn't do well and Vashti left the music business. But over the intervening thirty years, it became something of a cult favourite. This lead to a return to recording music in the 00s.

You might not know her work, but if you watched the HBO series True Detectives earlier in the year, you might recognise one of her songs from the soundtrack.
