Kate Adie ......

...... was at the Edinburgh Book Festival talking about her book "Fighting On The Home Front: The Legacy Of Women In World War One" this evening. She was very interesting and very relaxed and engaged with the audience. A real star.

Afterthought - for anyone from outside the UK who does not know of Kate Adie, she was a senior BBC reporter who specialised in reporting from war zones and other troubled places. Her Wikipedia entry says that 'a good decision is getting on a plane in a place where Kate Adie is getting off".
