Collared Dove.

We're back in the realm of life getting in the way of Blipfoto and it's a situation that is likely to continue for several days, but I did manage to spend a few moments watching and musing over the creativity of some of our garden birds. We have lost the lid of this bird feeder so it is no longer squirrel, jackdaw or dove proof. These birds seem quite happy to make themselves vulnerable by obscuring their vision and adopting a posture that makes take-off more difficult. The blue tit is waiting for his/her turn, they have been seen going right into the cavity, again, that seems to be a risky strategy.
