Caterpillars

Our little box of caterpillars arrived today in the post, 5 of them, tiny things in a special sealed cup with caterpillar food built in.

This was a present for C's b'day - butterfly garden, you watch the caterpillars grow & grow and then form chrysalides. Once transferred into our special net butterfly garden they will then hatch out into 5 butterflies before we set them free after feeding them for a couple more days.

It's going to be fun watching them grow and seeing the transformation, a great way to teach C about the wonders of nature & the growing process.
