Halfpenny Bridge, Linn Park, Glasgow

Also known as the White Bridge. Built in 1835, it is the oldest cast iron bridge in Glasgow. It is thought the "Halfpenny" name came from the small round holes in each span. I notice a hint of a Greek Thomson design in the ironwork too.

This was our first ever walk along the White Cart in Linn Park. Thanks to G & H for suggesting it.
