T is for Tennents

This morning I was returning Wee Doors Open items to Glasgow Building Preservation Trust at the Wellpark Centre in the East End.

Across the street is the Tennents Wellpark Brewery, which was founded in 1740 on the bank of the Molendinar Burn by Hugh and Robert Tennent.

Tennent Caledonian is one of the UK’s oldest brewers, with a heritage that stretches back across the centuries to the days of beer making in its very earliest forms. As far back as the 1550s, before Tennent’s opened for business.

Earlier today I met fellow blipper X5AUD when she visited Mackintosh Queen's Cross.
