Excellent game of football - and a brilliant advert for the 5th division .

The Mighty (but pretty much part-time and run on a relative shoe-string) - Shots against Money bags Forest Green Rovers who can boast several players who have played at a very high level (and several players who have served lengthy prison sentences!) FGR must be some kind of rehabilitation centre, but I digress .....

Hugely competitive, but never dirty, and the game could have gone away. On the whole, I'm pleased with a point against a team which I might just get down the bookies and put a fiver on to win the league.

We went one up with a Brett Williams penalty after David Pipe tripped up Jordan Roberts in the first half. Lee Hughes and Jon Parkin (The Beast) were a handful right the way through the game, and inevitably it was Lee Hughes (he always scores against us, regardless of who he is playing for) scored with a header from a corner at the near post at the hour mark. A long and tense final half hour as the game ebbed and flowed, and our goalie, Phil Smith, was the well deserved man of the match with 4 excellent saves from one on one situations.

The real advantage of playing Friday night is Saturday is going to be stress free :-)
