'The Boy Magician's Birthday Party'

Dylan has 5 of his mates here with us tonight for a sleepover.

Firstly they all made their own pizzas for dinner and sat outside on the deck to eat them. Then we had the birthday cake. MsMun made an orange Polenta cake & a baked cheesecake which were both delicious.

After that we all went out in the back paddock, made a fire pit, lit a fire and toasted marshmallows. The kids all ran around in the dark with their torches for about half an hour trying to scare each other. Home for a quick drink and then MsMun took them all for a walk in the dark over to the neighbours house while telling ghost stories.

Back home, changes into their pi's and watched the end of the Hawks v Cats footy match which we ended up winning after being down by about 30 points at half time.

Now they are all watching the hobbit and trying to stay awake. It's almost 11:30pm and they are all still hanging in there except Bella who fell asleep on the couch just as the movie started.

Next door neighbours are having a 21st birthday party for daughter no. 2 also. The DJ has the music pumping which is supposed to be wrapping up at midnight, although the music was a really nice addition while we were all out the back around the fire.

Hopefully we will manage a few hours sleep tonight.
