There was purply-pink sticky stuff everywhere for a while today. Made my first ever batch of Blackcurrant jam. Seven jars in all, from just over a kilo of fruit. Picked some more to add to that picked on Saturday, which had seemed to ripened a bit, despite being in the fridge for a few days.

Like previously made Bramble jelly, I'm not great at judging the 'set point'. The jam has certainly set. Just hope it's not too firm. Will let it lie a few weeks before 'assessing' it. Tasted fine during the long and extensive clean-up operations.
