I woke up to a sunny morning, so decided to go to Leigh-on-Sea today. I'd noticed the ruins of a castle up on a hill near Leigh when I'd been past on the train before, so decided I'd go and have a walk up there today to have a close look. The ruins are Hadleigh Castle. It was lovely up there on top of the hill, with views across to Leigh and Southend and the estuary. After popping in a cafe near the castle for something greedy, I walked back down the hill, through Leigh and along to Southend.
