Summer Palace

Originally the home of the British governor of the Ionian Islands this large house became the summer residence of the Greek Royal family for just over a hundred years when the islands were handed over to Greece in 1863. It is where Prince Philip was born. It is called Mon Repos. Fitting birthplace perhaps for a man who was to grow up to marry the woman a satirical magazine calls Brenda
