Interleaved

I pulled this baby out of the earth today. It's a leek, of course.

Chopped it up, fried it in butter, added a generous splash of white wine, salt, pepper, simmered it for a little while and then ate it along with a hamburger patty, some salad from the garden and potatoes (sadly, from the store).
