Blue Husques

Designed by Australian designer Marc Harrison and made from macadamia shells. After the kernels are removed, the discarded shells are milled into fine particles, melded with a polymer, and then formed into beautiful products like these.

These were seen at the Katoomba Cultural Centre today as part of their current exhibition -Resolved: Journeys in Australian Design which is on until 21 September. It features twelve outstanding Australian designers, their product, product journey and philosophy. Along with two other great exhibits currently showing, it's definitely worth a pop along.

Bob and I are members - such a bargain and worthy of support. What could be better than a free entry sweetener to a Sunday Coles visit.

Casual dinner with Trish tonight who has just finished another choir festival marathon photo shoot.
