More Balls Please

Fourth of eight back-blips…..

Saunton Golf Club do a special rate for visitors after 2:30 so we took advantage of some more beaching at Croyde in the morning, great fun, proper holiday stuff.

The golf on the other hand was a real challenge. We'd played the West Course last year so decided on the East Course today. This wonderful links course is difficult enough on a calm day and when you know your way around but the breeze was pretty strong and only the course guide book to help us - which pretty much says…. don't go long, don't be short, avoid the bunkers on the left and the deep rough on the right!! Phew, it was tough. We lost several balls between us but what a very enjoyable golf experience. I got the only birdie of the day - a solid seven wood into the wind to 10ft at the 200yd par 3 18th hole. Yes, I know, I'm milking it. Notice that I'm not mentioning the other 17 holes though!

Just a fleeting visit for Andy as he had to get back to Bristol.

What a super day.
