Dining with The Kelpies

Last year on a cold windy Autumn day when only the Helix park was open and even then it wasn't complete we visited The Kelpies area of Falkirk and at that point it was obvious this was going to be a popular attraction when complete.

This afternoon we decided the weather was ok so we packed a picnic to dine in the shadows of the mythical water horses and the wellies were packed too as we remembered about our fun from the last visit so we headed over to this regenerated area again.

We were correct about it being busy as this is a very popular attraction when the weather is ok as cars battled to park and people negotiated the bikes, scooters and skaters on the paths.

The Kelpies are now built and the area surrounding them open and the Helix park area has a kids adventure park now and it seemed everybody from central Scotland were there too.

Still a good few hours which resulted in the kids getting soaked once again in the water jet sprays - more photos can be viewed on my flickr page.
