Ecosystems

I've spent most of today contemplating this great view of impressive trees reaching up into a bright blue sky.

However all is not as it seems - this is not the view that faces me (that's been grey, concrete and sleety for the best part), rather the front cover of my Open University ecosystems textbook. And the fact that it's the front cover and not an inside page tells the story. The assignment is due in today, and I have barely started the reading let alone the assignment. Thank goodness for extensions ...
