Rural Michigan

Two minutes down the road from my brother's house is a four-way stop flanked on two sides by semi-derelict buildings (on one of the other corners is a large Catholic church, reputedly run by a somewhat inflammatory preacher).

Having said goodbye to our relatives this grey morning, we briefly visited a nearby beach (at Good Harbor Bay). Retracing our steps, we stopped to take some photos at this crossroads, and my brother (returning from a trip to reclaim one of the family dogs) saw us ... we then had to say goodbyes all over again.
