The Chateau de Cormatin

This chateau was rescued from ruination by three ex-teachers. They benefitted from a connection with Mme Mitterand in years past to get access to grants, and in recent years the income from visitors has enabled them to keep the place in good repair. We were shown round by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable student of history. The only disappointment was that the salon de thé was closed, so we had to resort to home-made choc ices from the village patisserie. We coped.

OB has blipped something from inside the chateau.
