branch of many apples

Gardening was the theme for today - given the laurel a severe haircut, planted some black tulip bulbs and scattered the poppy seeds thrown at us during tour de France. These apples are so ready to fall but somehow clinging on and I thought they looked beautiful in the sun this afternoon.
