Morris dancing

Broadstairs Folk Week was a joy and one of the delights, was the plethora of Morris Dancers. What is the collective term for Morris Dancers then?
As a history lover, I find it moving that pastimes and traditions going back hundreds of years still resonate through the centuries, and great that there are people who still keep these alive.
Do find the hobby horses creepy though; what's that about?
My Dad did Morris Dancing when he was in the Scouts...we have the bells and sticks!
