The Last Day

It's the last day of the Fringe :'-(

First show of the day "The Oxford Gargoyles: Jazz a Cappella", I've seen them several times over the last few years and they always put on a good show, as this was their last show they did get a little sillier than shows I've seen in the past, with water pistols, vegetables and a duck puppet!

Second show was "Fascinating Aida: Charm Offensive", I saw them do a number a couple years ago in a compilation show and decided to go see their "whole" show this year. They are obviously very talented singers and the lyrics to their songs are very funny.

Last show of the day and the year was "Dracula", this was a pretty hard core musical version of the classic tale. The live soundtrack combined brilliantly with the acting, with the vampires playing cellos, violins and guitars on stage. Mix this with a steampunk style of outfits and lots of lovely blood all made for a great show to end the Fringe on.

I may now sleep for the next 24-48 hours...

Pictured is the Gilded Balloon, aka "Teviot Row House" which becomes the location of numerous venues during the Fringe. It will very soon return to be the "oldest purpose built student Union building in the world".
