Ciem ciapem

Oops, that's in Polish, naughty Hrubieszowianka. However there is now way of translating it into English and making it sound as funny. It refers to the moth, which should be hit with a slipper. Enough said.

Hanna was going to sleep and saw something flying. So I put on some anti-mosquito liquid. And she was happy. Then scream again. This time the lights went on and we saw this beauty. Wing span ca 8cm. Mr H removed humanly the moth using a plastic bowl and a tea-towel.

Last year - a day to remember (see bottom right-hand corner) - we left England for good. Tomorrow is Hanna's Birthday, which last year was very short and spent mainly mid-air. Last year I managed to escape kitchen entertainment (cake making, party preparing). Not today. 4 tier chocolate cake with jelly jewels and fairy dust is setting in the fridge. Candles and matches ready on the kitchen worktop. Presents wrapped and waiting for the Birthday girl on the coffee table, safely out of sight from her route between her and our bedroom. From tomorrow, as it has been agreed long time ago, she won't be traveling every night to our bed in the middle of the night. She knows she can do it, she practiced a few times, and has been using up the last days of being 5 for jumping in between us.

Late night. So good night! Celebrations tomorrow. And then again.
