Between fen and mountains

The bag stall

I don't usually go down to Prades market in the summer as it is so crowded. It is colourful and vibrant, an excellent market with local produce that comes in from all the surrounding valleys and there is a great atmosphere with a huge variety of produce and activity. The accordionists make their way among the cafe tables and add to that feeling of high summer. Today, though, we took our visitors to stock up on good things and, in fact, the height of the season having passed, it was pleasant to wander around and enjoy the obligatory coffee in the square and meet up with friends. We needed a new bag and we were spoilt for choice on various stalls. In the end, we chose a colourful straw one.
