Mask

We were watering the plants for our friends Tony & Rosie this afternoon while they're visiting relatives in Ireland; the colours on this Venetian mask on their hall wall caught my eye.

Having taken a total of 17 shots on the 2nd & 3rd holes in this morning's golf round, when I could hardly hit the ball more than a few yards at a time, I then suddenly struck a purple patch for the rest of the round and finished with one of my best scores in ages: I guess that's the fascination of the game.
