Bubbles in lieu of Bubbly!

So, birthday time. Got things sorted on the breakfast table early enough, but had a premonition that bubby at 8:30 would be frowned upon due to the work we had today and the fact that we had to go shopping and get petrol. So, this was the result, bubbles (from a bizarre monkey-shaped bubble gun) in lieu of bubbly. The cake front was a disaster (due to us being in the countryside, after the official (unofficial) end of the season), so I had to make do with a couple of doughnuts with a message written on by myself in an icing pen!
