My elephants

How many elephants can sit on a mantelpiece?

Answer - 3 in this case.

Two of these lovely shiny smooth elephants belonged to my Granny who died in 1967. I don't know how old they actually are and I fear that some of the white bits may be ivory but I don't know. The smallest elephant was from Super Handyman Husband's family and we don't know any more than that about that one.

I find them really tactile and like to polish them. Somebody told me that they should have their rear ends to the doorway so they don't run away! Where do these strange ideas come from?
