Seagulls egrets seals barking seagulls
marauding gangs of solid and determined crows
egrets
delicate yellow feet on long black legs rise up in the foam
seagulls hunch even though it isn't windy
evil eyed crows patrol with purpose
seagulls eat their kin, shaking meat loose from torn bones
take a picture for tourist she's so tiny framed against the big ocean she keeps trying to step back further what is she trying to achieve I can hardly see her in the frame she's going to get washed away never turn your back she grins foreign words until a minute ago we were the only people on the beach now there are joggers and families a happy dog
rows and rows of orange trash cans line up in orderly pairs waiting for the next onslaught of careless tourists 
dark piles of seaweed flecked with bits of plastic and transparent jellyfish
five turquoise lifeguard towers at even intervals along the patterned sand
fresh cooked potato on a stick tater twysts flavor it love it café espresso games funnel cakes salt water taffy no lifeguard on duty
