Twizell Castle

Had intended to come home after the Morning Job and start tackling the 'to do' list - after all, the items on it are increasing in urgency!

But when Mr M announced that he was off to collect some wood from Etal I decided to go too - it was an unexpectedly warm, sunny afternoon and from next week I shall be shackled to Job No. 2, so no chance of any little 'jollies' after that.

On the way back we stopped for a circular walk from Twizell Bridge and back via Twizell Castle. It would be a lovely walk in Spring or later in the Autumn, but at this time of year the first half off the walk is spoiled rather by huge amounts of the stinking weed Himalayan Balsam and lots of nettles, both over head height and on either side of the path.
