In the Old Arles

Arles, in Provence, is an ancient city, whose history goes back to the Greeks like Marseilles. It became the first Roman capital of Gaul under Augustus. It remained an important religious center in the Middle Ages. This is why it has become a UNESCO World Heritage for its Roman & Christian sites.
This quaint, old street is close to the Roman Theater. The evening light and the bicycle made it more attractive near this wall shaded by ivy.
