Hedgerow pickings

As we live in Londin Tarn it's nice to have a leeetle bit of countryside in our teensy back garden. This is provided by our spineless (scaredy-cat) blackberry bush that rambles around the back wall and produces the biggest, juiciest blackberries you ever did saw. Every year it puts out three new shoots which bear fruit in their second year and the berries are pickable without any pain. You still get proper purple-stained fingers (and mouth?) though.

Hope you lovely folk have a very fine weekend. We're on our way to the End of the Road Festival and presently sitting in traffic. I can't bear to blip a queue of cars; don't want to give it any credence, so you can have this instead. In a year's time I'll be reminded of Alice and blackberry jam not a load of strangers in a traffic jam :-)
