U-Bahn München: 39/100 Innsbrucker Ring

Munich underground: 39/100 Innsbrucker Ring

Innsbrucker Ring underground station, opened in 1980, is one of only two stations in the network (the other one being the stop at Scheidplatz ), which has 4 tracks along 2 platforms on only one level. Here the U2 and U5 (and U7) underground lines meet/cross. The trains of the different lines arrive at the station simultaneously to allow passengers to change lines without having to wait at the platform.

As I said in my last blip of an underground station, Innsbrucker Ring station is another one of the Old & Uglies. Due to the simultaneous arrival of trains I was lucky, though, and was finally able to catch 2 moving trains at one platform at once.
