Meet the family!

I've had these three 'busts' for some time now and always loved their dignity and grace, something that only the older African art manages to capture and retain.

In a hurry to blip today, I remembered these and quickly snapped them, without realising the light had faded, so that the flash went off, and only later revealing to me, that instead of being a deep, rich ebony in colour, they each had quite distinctive grain and walnuty colours.

And I just love their expressions.
