Aquatic bloom

The pond has benefitted from all the summer rain. Nice clear water and the pond lilies growing really bushy. This splendid bloom came out yesterday and was stretching out in its search for the sun.

I'm going to have to get down and dirty before everything starts to dig in for the winter. The pond needs draining, emptying of mud and relining. Ah - what a fun time that will be. I can foresee a mucky blip or two coming soon.
