St Bega's Churchyard

Spent the day at the side of Bassenthwaite, including a bit of Little Dodd and the Osprey viewpoint. Hoped to see some Red squirrels, but were unlucky there.

I loved the old churchyard at St Begas, and found a few gravestones that really appealed to me, I liked the angle I got on these two, which by shooting at a really wide aperture, I could throw the background out of focus. I tried to position the celtic cross of the rearmost stone within the shape of the near stone. Just liked the composition.

Also liked this one - because of the word!

It seemed appropriate also as today would have been my late parents 65th wedding anniversary
