Rice Pudding (Fourth Attempt)

Twenty-seven days after attempt number three comes this iteration. Even though I sought to elicit the secret of the rice pudding before mum passed away, my efforts in the kitchen have thus far failed to meet the same standard. I observed and attempted to determine the quantities and variables, but Mum made this difficult by throwing in odd handfuls of extras after they had been weighed and measured. Maybe she was determined to take the secret of the great rice pudding to the grave.

I know one thing for sure. She used this enamel dish. I have tweaked the amounts using trial and error. Hopefully this is a better approximation of the real thing. The proof will be in the eating?
