A waterproof garage at last!

Was lucky to have three dry and sunny days this week to re-cover the garage roof. Rather than just use roofing felt, which I hate putting on and doesn't last, I used Onduline, a corrugated bitumen-impregnated material which nails on but needs purlins if the sarking (like ours) is too thin. Asking myself whether it is inappropriately agricultural for a conservation area or has "retro" charm.

Wednesday was a good day since we also had four more tonnes of gravel delivered and, with the neighbour, spread it over the thin areas as well as in front of the garage, thus completing the appearance of the block work completed the previous week.
