Buckland Mill

This must be one of the remotest and most beautifully sited holiday cottages we've ever stayed in - so wonderful to be able to hang out of the oriel window and look down into the River Usk. Sadly we had to leave today, although at least it was raining again, which made it a little less sad. The journey home was a bit of a nightmare, with a broken-down lorry near Monmouth causing huge tailbacks on the A40, roadworks on the M5 and just general weight of traffic on the M42, adding an extra two hours to the journey. I don't want to see any more traffic jams for a long time, but as I'm travelling to Lancashiire on Monday this may be a forlorn wish...
