To Bilston and Back

I noticed the other day that the cycle track that I have been waiting a long time for looked like it was open for use. So I decided to take by bike along to the round about at Lasswade Road and Gilmerton Station Road. I was delighted to see that the old railway line was opened for bike use and connects to the cycle tracks in Midlothian. So great to have a route out to Midlothian without having to cycle on the busy main roads. I went as far as the Bilston Viaduct, next time I plan to go to Roslin. This photo was taken on the new section just before the underpass that goes through to Midlothian.
