World's biggest stalactite...

...or at least the biggest yet discovered! Fascinating afternoon down the Doolin Caves and the Irish guide patiently explained that, yes, there is a longer stalactite in Brazil, but this is definitely the most massive stalactite so far discovered. Apparently weighs as much as ten elephants (but I didn't think to ask if it's bull, cow or calf elephants, African or Indian). It is massive and impressive, though. The yellow side is dead, no more matter being added (as the water flow has changed) but the white side is still growing, at a quarter millimetre per year.
