Arkaig Loch

Woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine (no fleeces or jackets required today!) and headed off to Arkaig Loch. Having looked at the map the previous evening, it showed the road running along side the Loch until it comes to an end at a car park at the far end. It seemed like a short drive, however, fourteen miles later on a bendy, roller coaster road we finally reached our destination. Must say the drive was good fun! We stopped off a few times on the way to capture some of the stunning landscape.

This is looking down Arkaig Loch with the mountain ranges disappearing into the distance. I particularly liked the rocks which lined up with the outcrop into the lake and those amazing clouds.

This evening we had a delicious meal at a gourmet pub restaurant in Spean Bridge. We were so full after the starter and main course, that neither of us could manage a dessert today!

Matthew's image of the Loch can be seen here.
