Under the rhubarb

A year ago, on a fleeting visit, my sister planted a baby rhubarb in a neglected family plot. We all went away, it was left to its own devices. This beetle's eye view from under its leaves marks the end of it career. Tomorrow it meets a ladle of custard and a dollop of Chantilly, as per Nigel Slater's rhubarb fool.
