Kensington Labor Day Parade

Trip done memory lane today. Crossed over to Kensington today for the Labor Day Parade. When we first move to DC in 1998 P started at Kensington Cooperative Nursery School which he went to for 3 years. It was a great introduction to America and we were all involved in the school. After that he had his kindergarten year at Grace Episcopal School. He also was involved in the Karate Club. All three institutions are still on the go - in fact I had the feeling that nothing much has changed in the 12+ years since we left. Politicians, marching bands, clubs, schools, faith groups and sports franchises (the Washington Nationals) all make an appearance.

Desperately hot over the last 2 days - I'm off for another hose down.....work tomorrow.
