Garden Snail

I didn't notice this Snail on the watering can before I plunged it into the water butt but I don't think it did it any harm. I liked the patterns and colours on the shell but must admit it isn't a favourite of mine.
When my sister-in-law took her dog to the vets for her annual booster she was asked if Pippa ate slugs or snails. Apparently they are a source of lung worm, a potentially fatal disease in dogs so an antidote can be administered with the booster vaccine now.
It's a few years since I've owned a dog but it wasn't part of the booster back then, yet another issue that responsible dog owners have to consider!
