It's Almost Time

Nature told us today, in no uncertain terms, that changes are underway and the days of radiant sun and heat are coming to an end. Today, all my windows remained closed, my grass received a very long drink of water, and the gutters barely kept up with the downpour (note to self: check gutters for leaves). Today I donned a warm jacket with hood, and warm socks and shoes, then grabbed an umbrella before heading out with Lola Malu. At tonight's quartet practice we observed that the lights needed to be turned on right from the start (7pm) and it was completely dark before we were through. Summer is packing her bags and almost ready to go, but I think she'll give us a few more pleasant surprises before she leaves.
