“If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place.”

Lao Tzu

Time to reflect today as I was in Cardiff to collect the drawings for a project for the coming week. While they were being printed I took a wander through town, past the "ring of steel" around the castle, and on to The City Parish of St John the Baptist, the Church next to the covered market entrance at the end of The Hayes. One of the oldest mediaeval buildings in the City apparently, dating back to the 12th Century. Don't know about that but it's a good place for a quiet Meditation, would have stopped for cake and coffee but I was a bit late and the tea shop upstairs was about to close.

Meandered back towards Cathedral Road via Bute Park, always an enjoyable detour to enjoy the gardens and open spaces. Nearly missed this little sculpture near the tea shop by the footbridge across the Taff from Sophia Gardens. Reminds me of an old Chinese story about a frog that lives at the bottom of a well and cannot conceive of an ocean. "We think too small, like the frog at the bottom of the well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced, he would have an entirely different view.” Meditation can be like that some days, opening the Mind to a wider perspective.

Time to collect the drawings and get my head down, but occasionally creating time to leave my little well...
